Marry for love or money?

For years now, there has been tons of debate about whether you should marry for love or money. If you are wondering which one is best for you, we have pros and cons for both. At the end of the day, you should strongly depend on what you value most in the long run. There is nothing with either or.

Love and money have been pitted against each other for years when the reality is you can have both. People decided that the two are complete opposites and that the two cannot co-exist.

Love or Money?

Marry for Love

Pro

Love is a very beautiful feeling. It is all about intentionality and intentionally loving and caring about a person. Love is a state of being. Completely letting yourself be consumed by a person’s existence in your life.

Marriage for love is great for relationships. You know that you are marrying someone who knows and loves you for who you are. These relationships are great for having children as well. It’s good to know that your children will be born into a loving home and be completely accepted and appreciated for simply existing.

Con

The con that often comes with marrying for love is not having money. 8 times out of 10 when someone marries for love it almost involves no money. Although the love would be a great feeling, there would be a lot of stress regarding bills, children’s needs and making ends meet constantly. In this state of the relationship, people often say to ‘build together’ this is not always the case.

Marry for Money

Pro

Marrying for money is big on security and comfortability. With the money you know you have everything you need and don’t worry about the little things. A lot of women tend to marry for money because it not only makes their lives easier but you know your children are guaranteed a life of security and comfortability.

Con

The downside to marrying for money is that love tends to feel cold and distant. Whether it’s a successful woman or a successful man, the amount of time they can give you might be limited. Oftentimes you would find yourself being comforted by money or gifts to make up for the missed time and forgotten anniversaries. Although the gestures are nice, they cannot make up for lost love.

Can love and money co-exist?

Yes. As unbelievable as it may sound at times you can have both in relationships. We have been so accustomed to believing that there is only one so often people only give their partner one of the two.

Although it might take some time, keep to your standards or the type that does give you the two. Men and women are willing to be that partner for you through marriage and the dating stage.

Thoughts on Marrying for love or money

There is not one that is better than the other. Both of them offer different values to different people. People may judge if you go for money but those same people would judge if you needed their help to make ends meet. Instead, make the decision solely based on your interest and what you feel works best for you and your children if you plan on having any.
