In the 21st century, marriage is starting to seem like it’s less of an option. With the divorce was going up, marriage rates dropped but the number of babies being birthed is still the same do you need to get married to have a baby? These cons are based on several patterns seen overtime
- Men don’t feel as obligated to the relationship and babies’ welfare

- Maintenance split between the parents will be minimal compared to if they were married
This is not how all relationships turn out it has been a pattern of relationships failing after a baby comes into play. When there is no marriage the level of commitment is different there is no fight to make it work it simply just is or isn’t. Although some do end up in marriages or stay together long term it is not a one-size-fits-all kind of situation majority end up breaking up.
