In the 21st century, marriage is starting to seem like it’s less of an option. With the divorce was going up, marriage rates dropped but the number of babies being birthed is still the same do you need to get married to have a baby? Everything is circumstantial we are no longer in the 1900s where you need to have a ring to have a baby or your child would be a bastard a lot has changed but on this subject, it’s still hard to have a right answer.
Marriage to have a baby
The honest answer would be no, the ethical answer would be yes. There are lots of things to take into account before having a baby. Yes, you and your partner love each other and you want to bring a baby into the world but what people forget is a baby is protected way more in marriage than from a baby daddy or baby mama. Some perks come with being married. We will get into the pros and cons of marriage to have a baby and made in general.
Pros of having a baby in marriage
A few general unlawful pros that I’m having a baby at your age are:
- A better living due to a double income in one household illegally
- The child is to be maintained by the father and mother even after divorce
- The child has a better parental experience in their early stages
- There is overallĀ better stability for children and parents
Although these pros making little bit plays a big part in a child’s life. A lot of kids’ experiences and perspectives on life are formed in the early stages even before the age of 10. If they can be guaranteed a stable living situation and this time. It gets easier for them to navigate their own lives in the best way possible as they grow.
Cons of having a baby outside of marriage
These cons are based on several patterns seen overtime
- Men don’t feel as obligated to the relationship and babies’ welfare
- It is easier to let go of the relationship and leave one as a single parent
- The child will have to grow up with one parent
- Maintenance split between the parents will be minimal compared to if they were married
This is not how all relationships turn out it has been a pattern of relationships failing after a baby comes into play. When there is no marriage the level of commitment is different there is no fight to make it work it simply just is or isn’t. Although some do end up in marriages or stay together long term it is not a one-size-fits-all kind of situation majority end up breaking up.
Pregnant out of wedlock
It is important to remember that a lot of how the relationship goes heavily depends on the relationship you have with your baby daddy or your baby mummy. Not all relationships are the same but you also cannot look at the exception and hope that’s what you will a shin ship will turn out to be. Communicate with your partner about your concerns and the long-term plan for your relationship. It is not an easy discussion that is the one that needs to be done especially with a baby on the way. Remember that marriage is no longer a false thing and is not something you have to do but it has been something that the government in the lower house used as a benefit for children and finances. So it is something to consider depending on your long-term goals for your relationship.
